Stoker Log Home Floor Plan From Hochstetler Milling, Ltd.
This home is inspired by Hochstetler's McKay model with a few changes to meet the homeowners interests; enlargement of the master bedroom and walk-in-closet, addition of both a laundry room off the kitchen, and a breezeway to the garage with a ½ bath.
Todd and Suzanne Stoker are nature lovers to begin with, and after attending Hochstetler Log Homes – Log Cabin Days their love for the outdoors grew even more. Suzanne even sketched out a plan with the inscription to read, “Lord… if this is your will let it be the path we travel together. Thank you for your abundant blessings.”
This home is inspired by the McKay model as the couple quickly realized that it resembled their sketch closely with a few changes like enlarging the master bedroom and walk-in-closet, adding both a laundry room off the kitchen, and a breezeway to the garage with a ½ bath.
The interior is decorated with many antiques from the farms of Todd and Suzanne’s parents. The bathroom vanities were custom designed from reclaimed barn wood with copper sinks; a butter churn in the kitchen, an antique ice-box and antique Singer sewing machine add a nostalgic touch in the great room, and hand-made quilts throughout the home lend a welcoming charm to the home and a heartfelt connection to the past.
