A Cut Above

This is Jack Karsnia from northern Minnesota. I have been working with wood all my life for over 40 years. I'm also very Artistic and have displayed my Wildlife Paintings and Prints at many shows.

After many years of building custom cabinets and furniture I have decided to blend my creative abilities into Custom High End Timber Furniture And Sculpture pieces. My Main focus is Hand carvings Incorporated into Rustic Furniture which may also include painted Scenes, And Single large pieces of Sculpture ( Soapstone and Wood ).

Original One of a Kind Creations.

My latest Creation is a 500lb Timber Frame bed made of 2'' thick rustic Cherry with walnut and soapstone carvings. The Foot board has a walnut Tree of Life carving with sleeping soapstone Doves nesting atop each post. The Head Board has awakening soapstone Doves nesting atop each timber post. The Maidens are seen releasing two Doves joined in flight. You can see such details as Eye Lashes , Eye Brows and finger nails on each Maiden.

On my Creative slate is a large soapstone sculpture with it's head reaching back and preening a wing.

This piece will be Approx. 50 to 75 lbs and set on a unique live edge Redwood slab with small ripples of water surrounding Swan. Growing up on Rainy Lake has provided me with Endless Wildlife and Landscape scenes .
